Information we collect
Depending on how you use LocalHandz, we may collect information such as your name, email address, profile details, suburb, postcode, address information you provide for your account, job and application information, messages, reviews, reports, credit purchases, transaction records, login information and technical information needed to operate and secure the service.
Why we use it
We use information to create and manage accounts, operate job listings and applications, enable messaging, process application-credit purchases, provide support, maintain safety and security, prevent misuse, administer reviews and reports, improve LocalHandz and comply with legal obligations.
Website journey diagnostics
To identify website problems and improve sign-up and job posting, we record anonymous page visits, form interaction events, validation error categories, location-selection success or failure and technical error categories. We use temporary random browser-session identifiers to understand journeys. We do not record typed form values, passwords, messages or exact addresses in these analytics events. We honour browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals for this optional analytics. Diagnostic events are retained for up to 90 days.
Who information may be shared with
Information may be shared with other LocalHandz users where necessary for the marketplace to operate, and with service providers that help us provide functions such as hosting, authentication, maps/location services, payment processing, email and security. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
Public information
Information you choose to place in job listings, applications, profiles or reviews may be visible to other users or visitors depending on the feature. Do not post sensitive information that is not necessary for a job.
Storage and security
LocalHandz takes reasonable steps appropriate to the service to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Access and correction
You may request access to personal information LocalHandz holds about you or ask for inaccurate information to be corrected. Some account and profile information can also be updated through the service.
Complaints and questions
If you have a privacy question, request or complaint, contact LocalHandz through the contact details made available on the website. We will review privacy complaints and respond as reasonably practicable.
Overseas services
Some technology or service providers used by LocalHandz may process or store information outside Australia. The countries involved can vary depending on the provider and its infrastructure. This policy will be updated as LocalHandz's service-provider arrangements develop.
Changes
We may update this policy as LocalHandz changes. The current version and effective date will be published here.
